I want to capture you and your children as you are. Together, we'll create a plan and space for where your kids feel most natural, doing what makes them feel most comfortable. I love helping style hair and outfits that draw out their personality, and I have a talent for making people feel at ease around a camera.
Our Process
01.
Consultation
We'll start with a discussion about your vision for the session. This includes choosing a location, lining up the right day and time (including weather conditions), and talking through any questions you have. We do this before-hand, via a Zoom call, so we can plan ahead.
02.
Styling
We'll work together to choose the perfect style for your shoot. This involves selecting clothing, props, and any other elements that will help create the atmosphere you want (we can have a lot of fun with this!).
03.
The Shoot
The session itself will be relaxed and fun, and take about 90 minutes. As an ex-school teacher and mum of four I know how to make children feel at ease, which helps me capture their true personalities.
04.
Post-Processing
After the session, I'll carefully review all the photos and select the best ones. These will then be professionally edited to ensure they look their absolute best. Each of your photos will come as two versions - one for online sharing and one ready for printing.

FAQ
How many photos will be included?
It changes a little shoot to shoot, but generally you should expect ~30 high quality photos that truly feel like they capture the essence of you and your children.
How long after the shoot will I receive my photos?
Generally about a week, though I always send through one or two sneak peek shots within 48 hours.
How will my photos be delivered to me?
I'll send you a password protected link to a full gallery of your images. From there, you can easily download them for online sharing or printing.
Most photographers have separate session and photo delivery fees. Do you not do it that way?
Nope, I don't, because it makes it too hard for you to work out what your total investment will actually be. My cost is designed to be competitive and completely clear. One cost, all your images delivered to you.
Is there a best time of day for these kinds of photoshoots?
I'm glad you asked, because yes - yes there is ;-) My favourite time of day to shoot is dusk, when the hard sunlight starts to naturally diffuse and create a beautiful golden feel, so that's my number one pick. Dawn is also nice. It can be a bit trickier to shoot in the midday sun (not just for me, but for you having to squint into it!), but I have methods and tools (like an artificial diffuser I'll bring with me) to help if we can't do later in the day.
What should I wear, or dress my child in?
Styling can make or break the feeling of a shoot, so I'd LOVE to help here. As part of our first Zoom call together, we'll chat about the feelings you want to capture and I'll give some advice on how we might do that on the clothing side. But as a general rule - very bright primary colours aren't so great, and muted natural tones are best.
What are your payment terms?
Our first call together comes with no obligation. If after that session you're excited to work together, and would like to book me in, a 30% deposit ($150) is required to lock in our shoot details.
